The Stone Poneys dropped the first game of a 2 out of 3 playoff series vs the Sartell Muskies. The game went back and forth for 6+ innings, with the Poneys coming back from being down 5-3 with a 3-run homer by Jim Gabrielson in the top of the 6th. The bottom fell out in the bottom of the inning, as starter Nick Zierden gave up a leadoff homer to Rob Voshell, followed by a double to Tim Burns. Following a walk,Zierden gave way to Jordan Clitty, who couldn't find the strike zone, hitting 3 successive batters and a giving up a single before yielding to Justin Haakenson. Haakenson finished the game without giving up any further runs. 

For the Poneys, Jim Gabrielson put on a show, with 4 hits in 5 at bats.   Austin Timm had a single and 2 walks, and scored 2 runs. Rob Gabrielson drew 2 walks and scored a run, and Cody Jones, playing his final game for the Poneys, had a walk and a single. 

For the Muskies, Dan O'Connell was on base 4 times, scoring 3 runs with a double, a walk, and 2 hbp's. Adam Wenker had a single, a double, and 2 walks. Luke Sweeter had a single, a walk, and a hbp. Adam Wenker picked up the win, departing after the 7th inning in favor of Paul Schumer.
