In the first of what may become a long term rivalry series, the more experienced Rebels used 3 big innings to down the Stone Poneys on the Rebels' home field during the 4th of July weekend. 

Brett Kramer dueled his cousin, Rob Gabrielson, and earned the win for the Rebels. Longtime Rebel Jim Kramer went 2-3 with a walk, and donned the tools of ignorance for the entire game. The game ended on a pinch hit double for another oldtimer, Rob Veith. Nick Jelacie was on base 4 times, with 2 hits and a hbp and walk. 

For the Poneys, Justin Haakenson and Spencer Timm both had 2 hits, with Rob Gabrielson, Jim Gabrielson and Lee Torborg adding hits. 

The teams shared a potluck following the game.
