The Stone Poneys escaped with a win when the Nowthen Knights couldn't field a full lineup going into the 12th inning on Saturday.  A Nowthen batter protested too much on a called strike 3 for the umpire's patience in the bottom of the 11th, and was thrown out of the game.  The Knights had used all their substitutions, and therefore couldn't field a full lineup to take the field in the 12th, giving the Poneys an extra run on a forfeit in the 12th.

Poneys' ace lefthander Alex Lotthammer pitched another great game, going 10 innings with 15 strikeouts. The Knights scored on an error in the first inning, and again in the third, following a triple on a misplayed flyball. Rob Gabrielson came on in the 11th, striking out 2 without allowing a hit.

Nowthen went with their ace, Jake Johnson. Johnson struck out 11 batters and walked only 4 through 11 innings, while surviving 6 errors. Johnson caused the Poneys to strand 9 batters in scoring position.

Jordan Clitty laced a single in the top of the first, scoring Austin Timm and Rob Gabrielson. Gabrielson was the only Poney with more than one hit, with a double and a single.
